We are all special people.
Mood: still good!
Music: the clash - should I stay or go now
On the 17th of November my fellow tutors and I were assigned the task of creating a midterm exam for our pupils, which was to be handed in on the 28th of November. We had lots of time, but I still started early and had pretty well everything done except section C which involved a sight passage.
And I guess in my mind, November the 28th existed in an alternate universe where time stands still, because even though I knew that Monday the 28th was the due date I had it in my head that I still had plenty of time.
And so yesterday afternoon at two o'clock there was nobody in the public library except Anneliese looking frantically for a sight passage amongst a group of little retarded children. Beside me was the most sardonic litte girl in the world who had down syndrome and was flipping through the pages of Teen magazine. And every time she'd turn a page over she'd sigh, dramatically roll her eyes up toward the heavens, then say something really depressing about whatever was on the page. On the other side of me was a boy who kept slapping the backs of his earlobes and saying "AAAhhhhhhhhhAhhhhhhhhhAAAhhhhhhhhh..." for the whole time I was there. And there was another young man who had taken to pretending he was a cat.
So, today Robbie Baby and I discussed how I'd never fit in so well before in my life.
Ta Da.
