Hooray for Bruises!

Mood: can't complain
Music: Our Lady Peace - 4am

Anneliese went to Fergus and came back with a FARMER'S TAN!! A ha ha! (This is where everyone laughs at my hick joke.)

Anyways, yeah. Today was our first exhibition rugby game (maybe our only one, I certianly don't know) and, all things considered, I'd say it went well. (That's not to say that we won or anything so don't go getting any crazy ideas into your head.)
Everybody played. It was fun. I got to touch the ball, te he he!
It kind of sucked though, because the superior gender had a match at the same time as us and of course, they got the actual playing field. We too played on a field, persay, but one must keep in mind that this is Fergus and that our field has likely seen more cattle than it has sporting events in it's day.
Something that also kind of sucked was that the cones we used to mark the boundaries of said field were green, making it somewhat difficult to distinguish if you were offside or in an endzone. This was especially true if you happened to be running for your life from one particular Fergus girl (and here I use the term 'girl' quite liberally) who I suspect may have been a rhinocerous in disguise, and who enjoyed nothing more than violently launching herself at you with reckless bloody abandon and hauling you into the earth with all the force of a plane crash.
Which happened to me. It was hawt.

Oh. And the first time I got tackled? That sporty little blue front-opening bra with cris-crossing straps in the back that is perfect for working out in? Decided it was going to stage it's own silent liberation movement underneith my rugby jersey. ...Awkward. Which meant that for the entire first half, my thought process was like "backs out! - backs steep! - BOOBS! - run! - tackle! - AH MY BOOBS! - pass ball - play stopped!!! now if I can just... No! Boys are looking! - AH! - run! run! run! --BUT THE BOOBS!" Etc, etc. And for once I am happy to be an A cup.

All in all, it was quite the experience.

Annnnd, I'm spent!
